Cutting-edge trenchless technology
Below are some of the recent projects we have completed in Wyoming and Montana. Our trenchless technology services also currently expand to Idaho and Colorado, while we have completed projects for clients across North America.
Cheyenne, Wyoming
Allison Draw South interceptor sewer project
Located on the south side of Cheyenne, this project included over 840 feet of trenchless technology to install a 42 inch diameter casing. With the longest bore being 395 feet, it presented unique challenges to CCI Trenchless, mainly due to the local geology. The geology included both clay impacted sand and sandstone layers, requiring us to complete each bore while operating in a "split face" condition. Through careful modifications of our steering head, CCI was able to navigate all crossings successfully to provide an end product that was on grade and alignment for our general contractor to install the carrier pipe.
Dillon, Montana
Water System Improvement Projects
This project included 610 feet of 36 inch casing installed under a key infrastructure, as well as in two environmentally sensitive areas. One crossing included the installation of 370 feet of casing under the very busy Interstate-15 and the other crossings were there to avoid the harmful effects an open trench line would have on the Beaverhead River and a Pigtail Creek. The geology and high water inflow rates in the area required two methods of installation, Pipe Ramming and conventional Auger Boring. These methods allowed us to navigate the large boulders (up to 26” in diameter), which were present at all three crossings. CCI successfully completed the project in February of 2022, after coordinating improved methods with the engineering team. While working on this project the crew got to enjoy the beautiful scenery and big sky’s Dillon, Montana has to offer.
Big Timber, Montana
Water Distribution Improvement Projects
This project included two crossings using pipe ramming methods to install 200 feet of 30 inch casing. With large boulders expected, CCI Trenchless preemptively upsized the casing from 20 inch diameter to 30 inch diameter to ensure the crossing would go the distance. With both crossings, we were able to allow our General Contractor to successfully install carrier pipe under US Highway 191, without any affect on the local community’s main access road thru the town of Big Timber, Montana.
